Free and paid plan

Some features may be only available in the paid plan. They are marked with an asterik (*). For a full comparison of paid versus free plan please visit the page 'Feature Comparison'.
The UI may differ a bit on the paid plan - functional wise it is the same.

PRO Badge

Top left: Is shown when you have the PRO plan enabled and made the IAP. The PRO plan has some added features for your experience.

Gear Badge

Bottom left: Long press on the gear badge to open the left menu where you can go in a diversity of settings. Some features are only PRO plan.

Measurement

Top right: You can switch between CM and Inches here. Existing measurements will not be changed and stay until you measure again.

Contextmenu

Bottom right: The menu on the right lower edge shows the context based commands. Depending on the state the scanapp is in, the menu changes a bit in commands.

Content

Modes of operation

The app has three modes of operation where the menu items differ a bit:
- The AR view or 'scanning' view which is where you can start scanning. In this mode the menus show commands related to scanning features
- The 'Viewer mode' - where you can view your new or loaded models
- The 'Live' mode - where you can interact directly on the camera and measure, put notes or draw

Screen menu AR mode

Bascially what you see when you enter the app. The appearance of the buttons may vary ;-)

Button for starting the scan. After tapping move your phone for what you want to scan. On the screen you will get feedback.

Stops the active scan - be sure to have all scanned you need. You still can ‚Go on‘ scanning again.

When satisfied after pressing this button the 3D model will beeing built and you can interact with it.

If you are not satifsfied after scanning you can scan more with the button ‚Go on‘

Left menu AR mode

Opens the viewer for the set of models you created - swipe and choose

Share a presaved model. You can send it directly from here. File size may be big.

Save a model - you can save the model - depending on your plan also with the notes and drawings you created. 
Filesize may be big.

Load a saved model. Says what it does. Either own models or ones you received. 
Received models should be in the respective folder of the app and should be decompressed.

Changes the unit from centimeters to inches

You can choose a color for drawing on the model, in live view or on the drawing pane

Closes the menu.

Right menu AR mode

This menu is shown when you click on the app logo on the right after you've scanned.

Opens the menu on the right to choose the commands. The menu which opens is context sensitive.

Opens a model viewer from the local storage of the phone. Select one and open it to view.

Draw on the screen in the ‚world’ where you want to scan and choose the kind of scan (sphere, bubble)* then you can scan discrete objects or areas. Great for e.g. smaller distinct objects.

The transparency mode where you can interact directly with your environment without scanning and modeling first. *

Reset everything.

Right menu viewer mode

After you have scanned and are viewing the model this menu is shown.

Shows AR screen again e.g. after scanning or when you want to scan a new ‚world‘

Shows the pictures that you have taken with 'Take a picture' on the device. You can share the images or delete them. *

During viewing of a model you can take a snapshot here

Measurement of a 3D object which follows the contours of the object. *

Either just line length measurement or area measurement*

Live Mode

The Live menu* is available only in paid plan.

Add a note in the view on the screen directly in the space *

Draw lines or doodle or put circles - whatever you like on the screen in the world *

Add a drawing pane where you can draw. For e.g. showing something important or putting a pattern somewhere. *

Measure in straight line - either length or area. *

Measure the curvature length of an object - it’s like a soft measurement tape. *

Choose what to delete - go through by the arrows in the middle of the screen. *

Closes the live mode. *

Opens the Live Submenu for saving, loading and other features (see further)

Shares a scene with a person or cloud space you define.

Saves the scene to the app saving place or you can also put it where you want.

Loads a scene - per default from the app saving place but is open to load scenes also from your connected space.

Change unit from centimeters to inches. Needs to re-measure.

Changes the color for measuring lines, drawing lines to the colours which you want.

Closes the Live Submenu.
